We know life can be busy and hectic, however, nothing in life is worth risking your safety and that of others to justify speeding 3x the speed limit.

Happy 4th of July! We would like to thank everyone who participated in fireworks for being safe and considerate; especially those of you who brought your families over to Shoshoni from Riverton. Thank you for showing respect for our town and cleaning up your debris while enjoying your celebration of our 250th year of Independence!

During EMS week, we would like to acknowledge our brothers and sisters in EMS who on a daily basis put themselves in harms way to save countless lives across our great nation. While often forgotten and under appreciated, they willingly do it anyway in the service of others. Their selfless service and dedication deserves our recognition always.

It was our honor for the Shoshoni Police Department to help es**rt the Tree of Life memorial convoy in recognition of the 37 EMS professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of others. No greater sacrifice than giving your life to save another’s, we pray for your families and all of the lives you’ve saved. The 37 heroes lost and represented by the Tree of Life have our eternal gratitude.

🚨SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent Court Notice Circulating

The Cheyenne Police Department is aware of a fraudulent “court enforcement” notice being shared and received by members of the public. This document is not an official notice from the courts or law enforcement. It appears to be a scam designed to pressure recipients into making payments or scanning suspicious QR codes.

Please remember:
• Do not scan unknown QR codes
• Do not send payments based on unsolicited notices
• Verify court matters directly through official court contacts
• Report suspicious activity to local law enforcement

Scammers often use official-looking logos, court names, and urgent language to appear legitimate. If you receive a notice like this and are unsure, contact the appropriate agency directly using publicly listed phone numbers or websites.
