# ATTENTION CITIZENS AND BLANCHARD WATER CUSTOMERS

**IMPORTANT WATER SYSTEM NOTICE**

Tomorrow morning, **November 4, 2026**, the Town of Blanchard will begin a mandated rehabilitation and painting project on the elevated water tank located at the intersection of LA Highway 173 and LA Highway 538, more commonly known as the **B&M Tank**.

This project will involve necessary exterior repairs, upgrades to the tank's ladders and access panels, and sandblasting of both the interior and exterior surfaces to properly prepare the tank for a new protective coating.

To complete this work, the tank must be completely drained before the rehabilitation process can begin.

**What Should Water Customers Expect?**

- The project is estimated to take approximately **4 to 6 weeks**.
- While the tank is out of service, customers may experience periods of reduced water pressure.
- Our water system will continue operating, but customers should be aware that pressure may fluctuate during this project.

**Why Is This Work Necessary?**

This project is being undertaken as a requirement of the **Louisiana Department of Health (LDH)**. The inspection identified areas of surface rust on the tank, along with the need for upgrades to ladders and access panels to address safety and maintenance requirements.

Maintaining our elevated water tanks is essential to protecting our water infrastructure and ensuring the continued reliability of our water system.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we complete this important maintenance project.

**Thank you for being a Blanchard water customer!**
