We had another great night of training. Last night our members trained on field fire operations with the members of Homer Fire Protection District.

Our members had another great night of training alongside one our mutual aid departments. When you are able to train together, the teamwork on an active fire scene operates better. It takes mutual aid from many rural volunteer fire departments to work together to fight an active fire. Thanks Homer Fire Protection District!

Not driving through flooded streets and roadways is always the best and safest decision! It doesn’t take much water to cause a bad decision to turn into a life threatening one!

🌊🚒 Well… we’ll get there. It just might take us a minute. 😂

Many roads around the area are flooded, and unfortunately, the water is still rising. So if you see us taking the scenic route, just know we’re doing our best! 😅

All kidding aside — we don’t have a boat. But we’ll figure it out. That’s what we do. 💪🚒

Please stay safe out there and remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown! 🌊

If the road is covered in water, find another way. It’s never worth the risk.

Yesterday our members assisted Homer Fire Protection District with their working barn fire. In times like this, volunteer departments rely heavily on the mutual aid assistance provided by the neighboring departments. We are grateful for our members who worked hard in providing assistance during this call. Thank you to all the men and women of all the departments who answered the call!

Our members had an active night. E1851 responded to assist Homer Fire Protection District with their working barn fire. A coordinated fire attack and teamwork by all departments helped with this challenging incident. In times like these, mutual aid from neighboring departments make it all possible. Great job to all the departments who answered the call.
