It was truly an honor and a privilege to lead the Pledge of Allegiance today in North Platte for a rally with Vice President JD Vance who was in Nebraska to support our Federal, State and local officials. It is of the utmost importance that everyone gets out and votes in this upcoming election. God bless America.

The number one issue we heard during and after the fires was communication. I appreciate the Governor’s order to address this state wide and rural issue in particular and bridge the gaps in communication regarding all of our emergency services.

I am proud to be a rural Nebraskan where hard work, strong communities, and looking out for your neighbors are simply a way of life. There’s something special about the people, the land, and the values that make rural Nebraska home. I can’t think of anyplace I’d rather be than in rural Nebraska and I can’t think of a better group of people I’d rather surround myself with.

The open letter is signed by 45 people, including 20 state senators, 24 county board members and one county supervisor candidate.

I had the privilege of attending (thank you Spike) the Charter Commencement for the Ronald Coker Marine Corps League Detachment 1502 in Alliance. The Marine Corps League’s mission is to Preserve Marine Corps traditions, strengthen the fraternity of Marines, foster Americanism, and support local communities. I can’t think of many things more noble and in need right now and fully support their mission statement. This detachment is named in honor of Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Ronald Leroy Coker from Alliance who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you all for your service to our country and our communities. You can read the story of Pfc. Coker and the League below.
