Scattered rain and thunderstorms this morning grow stronger this afternoon, with some potential for strong to severe storms. The main hazards will be heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and large hail.

Rain and thunder will continue in Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Make sure you take in outdoor items and roll up car windows before heading to bed tonight. Most will NOT see storms. Those that do see storms, there is a threat for strong to damaging winds. Keep your weather alerts audible in case of severe weather tonight.

A few funnel clouds will be possible this afternoon across portions of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. These funnels are unlikely to reach the ground, but if they do, they could produce some 50 mph wind gusts.
