A passion for helping others is shaping the future of WNMU nursing student Ricardo Mancinas.

After moving to the United States just one year ago, Mancinas has adapted to a new country, excelled in the classroom and taken on leadership responsibilities as a resident assistant. He recently earned the 2026 Health Care Scholars United scholarship through the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, helping him continue his nursing education and pursue his goal of advanced studies in anesthesiology.

His journey reflects the determination to overcome challenges, the value of community and the opportunities that help students move forward at WNMU.
