As a reminder, burn permits issued by the Fire Department are required prior to performing any open burn. This does not pertain to small recreational fire pits or small trash/garbage burn barrels. However, please use caution and good common sense when participating in those activities as well! If you have any questions, call! We're here to help.

Today is Volunteer Firefighters Recognition Day, and we're honoring the dedicated men and women who selflessly serve their communities.

Volunteer firefighters respond to emergencies at all hours, train year-round, and sacrifice time with their families to help others when they're needed most.

To every volunteer firefighter across the country: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and everything you do to keep your communities safe.

Tag a volunteer firefighter who deserves a shoutout. ❤️🚒
