🎈 Happy 100th birthday, Winnie-the-Pooh!

Our Preschool and Pre-K students kicked off their first STEAM Challenge of the Year in Technology Class! 🍂
Students began by learning about STEAM, what engineers do, and the importance of teamwork! 🤝 They then sang the fun fall favorite, “Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate.” 🎶
Next, our little engineers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test! Using different materials, they designed and built their very own gates or fences with one goal in mind: Can you balance all five pumpkins without them falling? 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Through this hands-on challenge, students explored engineering, balance, creativity, and teamwork while having lots of fall fun!
👏 Way to go, little engineers!

Hunger doesn’t wait for the holidays. While food pantries receive more attention this time of year, many have been struggling to meet our neighbors’ needs all year. The need is always great, but this year it feels greater than ever.

Our school and parish collect food every Wednesday through We Care Wednesday. Next week, we will launch an additional collection campaign to support the John Mulholland Family Foundation’s efforts to help people facing food insecurity and the working poor in Washington, DC.

When you come to Mass or weekly Adoration, please consider dropping off an item or two. Every donation is a small act of love that can make a difference. Thank you for caring for our neighbors throughout the year.

Little late with this news — it’s been going on all year — but somehow the struggles of the hungry poor makes news as we approach Thanksgiving each year. This is every day, friends; please support your favorite group who are providing for your neighbors in need. MulhollandCharities.org

We were thrilled to welcome back Alexios, a proud St. Andrew Apostle Class of 2015 graduate, today! He spoke to some of our students and staff about his experience at St. Andrew’s and how his time there has left a lasting, positive impact on his life.

He also shared fond memories of his high school experience at DeMatha Catholic, giving our students a wonderful glimpse into the journey that can begin right here at St. Andrew’s.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to share your stories with our students, Alexios. We are so proud of all you have accomplished!
