Recently, the VAS team had a wonderful outreach opportunity during the food distribution event hosted by Ms. Rocio at Seneca Creek Community Church! 💚

It was a great day to connect with the community and share more about: 🤝 VAS Support Services dedicated to empowering and assisting local residents. 🌱 Our Key Environmental Projects, including HEECAP, Clean Water, and Watershed—raising awareness and building a cleaner, greener environment together!

CẬP NHẬT Y TẾ HÀNG TUẦN
Thời Gian Ghi Danh Mở Medicare Sắp Bắt Đầu!
Thời gian Ghi Danh Mở Medicare (Medicare Open Enrollment) sẽ diễn ra từ ngày 15 tháng 10 đến ngày 7 tháng 12 năm 2026.
Trong thời gian này, người đang có Medicare có thể xem lại chương trình bảo hiểm hiện tại và thực hiện các thay đổi cho năm 2027, bao gồm:
• Chuyển đổi chương trình Medicare Advantage
• Tham gia hoặc thay đổi chương trình thuốc theo toa Medicare Part D
• Chuyển từ Original Medicare sang Medicare Advantage
• Chuyển từ Medicare Advantage trở lại Original Medicare
Ngay cả khi quý vị hài lòng với chương trình hiện tại, quý vị vẫn nên xem lại quyền lợi bảo hiểm mỗi năm, vì mức phí bảo hiểm, danh sách thuốc được chi trả, hệ thống bác sĩ và các quyền lợi khác có thể thay đổi.

WEEKLY HEALTHCARE UPDATE
Medicare Open Enrollment is Coming!
Medicare Open Enrollment will take place from October 15 through December 7, 2026.
During this period, Medicare beneficiaries can review their current coverage and make changes for 2027, including:
• Switching Medicare Advantage plans
• Joining or changing a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan
• Switching from Original Medicare to Medicare Advantage
• Returning from Medicare Advantage to Original Medicare
Even if you are satisfied with your current plan, it is a good idea to review your coverage each year because premiums, prescription drug coverage, provider networks, and other plan benefits may change.
Need assistance?
Vietnamese American Services (VAS) can help community members understand their Medicare options and review their coverage.

HEECAP

On Thursday, October 9. the VAS Outreach Team had the opportunity to participate in a community outreach event at Seneca Creek Community Church in Gaithersburg.
Our team connected with households from the Gaithersburg and Germantown communities to share information about various VAS programs and services, including the HEECAP Program
Through HEECAP, we continue to raise awareness about home electrification, energy efficiency, and opportunities for eligible households to transition from gas-powered appliances and systems to electric alternatives.
We appreciate Seneca Creek Community Church for welcoming our team and providing us with the opportunity to connect with the local community!

Thứ 5, Ngày 9 tháng 10. Đội ngũ Tiếp cận Cộng đồng của VAS đã có cơ hội tham gia một sự kiện cộng đồng tại Seneca Creek Community Church ở Gaithersburg.
Đội ngũ VAS đã gặp gỡ và chia sẻ thông tin với các gia đình trong khu vực Gaithersburg và Germantown về nhiều chương trình và dịch vụ của VAS, trong đó có chương trình HEECAP
Thông qua HEECAP, VAS tiếp tục nâng cao nhận thức cộng đồng về điện khí hóa gia đình, tiết kiệm năng lượng, cũng như các cơ hội hỗ trợ những hộ gia đình đủ điều kiện chuyển đổi từ các thiết bị và hệ thống sử dụng gas sang các thiết bị điện.

Thank You for Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with Us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Seeing families, friends, volunteers, and community members come together made the event truly special.

From the joyful laughter of children to the beautiful cultural performances and shared traditions, the evening was filled with warmth, connection, and community spirit. We are grateful for everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, and helped make this event a success.
