Third grade got a little wild with science today! 🔬 Students dissected owl pellets, made fascinating discoveries, and recorded their findings in their science observation journals. They also enjoyed a special visit from Echo the Owl from the Wildlife Sanctuary, bringing even more opportunities to learn about and appreciate the amazing world of wildlife! 🦉
Hands-on learning, curious minds, and a whole lot of owl-some fun!

Mrs. Reimann and Mrs. Fleck's classes recently joined a live Zoom call with the science crew on the Nautilus during their expedition around the Hawaiian archipelago! This is an area of the deep ocean floor that has never been explored before. Using ROVs and robotic arms, the scientists collected data and images of organisms and abiotic features in the area. Our students asked great questions and learned cool facts about life under the sea and never-before-seen creatures. It was such a great experience for our students as they learned what it means to be a scientist and delved into the scientific method. Way to go Hawks!

📚👻 Our young readers have been busy! Ms. Eddes’ 1st graders enjoyed reading Gustavo the Shy Ghost and brought the story to life by creating their own artwork inspired by the book. Meanwhile, Mrs. Sabari’s 2nd graders practiced their reading skills by sharing books with Mrs. Brush. What a wonderful celebration of reading, creativity, and a love of books!
