Pumpkins, little smiles, and a whole lot of fall fun!

Our Bright Beginnings preschoolers had a wonderful adventure at EZ Orchards! From the hayride and apple orchard to the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and corn maze, there was so much to explore. Apple c***r and doughnuts made for a sweet ending!

We missed a few sweet friends who were home sick and hope they’re feeling better soon!

Thank you to the families who joined us and helped make this day so special. We love watching our little learners discover the world with their friends!

Pumpkin fun with our toddler crew 🍁We had so much fun finding pumpkins, painting them, and exploring what’s inside!

Some little hands went right for the seeds and squishy insides, while others gave us a look that said, “You want me to touch THAT?!” Every child explored at their own pace, and their expressions were priceless!

So much curiosity, creativity, and fall fun with these sweet little pumpkins!

M is for Moose, Mountains, Magnets & Marshmallows!

What a fun-filled week of learning and exploring at Bright Beginnings!

Last week, our preschoolers were busy discovering all things that start with the letter M ! We created mountains, explored painting with magnetic wands and marbles, experimented with magnets, and made our very own moose!

One of the highlights was getting to see and hold up a REAL moose antler rack that was practically as big as our entire group! The kids were amazed!

We wrapped up our week in the sweetest way—roasting marshmallows, singing songs, and enjoying time together around the fire.

These are the moments we love most! Learning through hands-on experiences, exploring new things, making memories, and having fun along the way.

Any guesses what this week’s letter was?

We slithered into another fun week of learning at Bright Beginnings! We explored snakes up close—patterns, textures, scales, and more!

Snakes and snails to sand, slime, shaving cream, and painting —

Learning is always more fun when little hands get to touch, explore, and discover!

DIRT IS GOOD FOR KIDS

Bright Beginnings Child Development Center and Preschool- outside time isn't something we squeeze in when there's extra time — it's an important part of our day and an important part of childhood.

Our playground was created to give children SPACE — space to run, climb, swing, dig, build, explore, imagine and simply be kids.

-Climbing builds strength, coordination, balance and confidence.
-Digging in dirt and sand provides hands-on sensory experiences while encouraging creativity, problem-solving and imaginative play.
-Running and playing in a large open space strengthens growing bodies and gives children opportunities for the vigorous movement they need.
-Swinging, climbing and moving their bodies in different ways help children develop gross-motor skills, spatial awareness and balance.
-Nature play encourages children to observe, investigate, ask questions and use all of their senses.
-Unstructured outdoor play gives children opportunities to negotiate, take turns, solve problems, make decisions and learn how to play together.

Research connects time outside with better attention and focus, creativity, learning, mood and overall well-being.

So yes… they may come home with dirt on their knees, sand in their shoes and evidence of a very busy day.

But that dirt often means they climbed, created, explored, problem-solved, took a healthy risk, used their imagination, moved their body and PLAYED.

At Bright Beginnings Child Development Center and Preschool, we believe childhood needs sunshine, fresh air, big spaces, messy hands, movement, nature and plenty of time to PLAY. Because sometimes the very best learning doesn't happen sitting at a table.

Classroom pets… hmmm, why not SNAILS?!

Our preschoolers have been having so much fun with our little snail habitat! There’s something pretty special about getting to slow down, look closely, ask questions, and learn about these tiny little creatures right in our own classroom.

And our snail family grew! 🐌🐌 A BIG thank you to Bo for bringing in two new little friends to add to our habitat!

The kids are loving watching them explore, learning what they eat, discovering the parts of a snail, and helping take care of their habitat.

And here we go ~ another year of learning, growing, playing, creating, exploring, and making memories has begun at Bright Beginnings Preschool!

Today wasn’t about perfect letters, numbers, or sitting quietly at a table. It was about getting comfortable, making new friends, learning our routines, exploring our space, and most importantly — knowing that this is a safe place to belong.

We have worked hard to create more than a classroom for our kiddos. We want Bright Beginnings to feel warm, welcoming, and a little bit like home — because when children feel safe, loved, and valued, that’s when some of the very best learning begins.

There are so many adventures ahead of us this year — messy art, sensory play, gardens and chickens, stories and songs, outdoor exploring, friendships, lots of laughter, and SO much growing.

To our families, Thank you for trusting us with your little ones. We know just how precious they are, and we are so excited for all this year will bring.

Here’s to the first day of a wonderful year at Bright Beginnings Preschool ☀️
