🎨✨ Bringing Stories to Life Through Art! 🎬🐾
Today, our students gathered with their MI Family Groups for another creative MI Exchange!
This month, students explored the art of animation and discovered how artists use character design and storyboarding to bring stories to life. We took inspiration from Bill Peet, a Disney artist and storyteller who helped shape the animated classic 101 Dalmatians through his story adaptation and storyboards.
Students looked closely at the film’s characters, considering how intentional artistic choices help communicate personality, emotion, and tell a story. Then, it was their turn to become storytellers! Using their artist trading cards, students designed original characters or created mini storyboards of their own.
🐾 As an added bonus, this month’s MI Exchange helped build excitement for our upcoming 3rd grade production of 101 Dalmatians KIDS on November 17!
We love seeing students make connections across art forms while discovering the creativity and collaboration that bring stories to life! ❤️
