🎤✨ 90 minutes. One Toastmasters structure. A whole room full of real speaking practice. ✨🎤 We clocked **over 30 minutes of actual speaking and storytelling practice** in one meeting.

Here’s what that made possible at Sioux Falls Club 210:

✅ 2 prepared speeches
✅ 2 formal evaluations
✅ 6 Table Topics speakers
✅ member moments around the room
✅ meeting roles, reports, awards, and guest participation
✅ a few mistakes, a few lessons learned, and growth in real time

Toastmasters may look formal, but the structure has a purpose: it gives more people the floor and helps us practice being clear, concise, and powerful.

Congratulations to **Mathew Carpenter** for **Best Speaker**, **Carol Spader** for **Best Evaluator**, and guest **Haley Hoffler** for **Best Table Topics**! 👏

🤩 Gobsmacked—and proud!

That was our word of the day—and the perfect description of Monday’s Sioux Falls Toastmasters Club 210 meeting!

🎤Mathew Carpenter led the evening as Toastmaster, with two fantastic speeches from Austin Den Hoed and Tracey Quint Isburg followed by formal evaluations to help our speakers keep growing.

☀️ We completed the Sunshine incentive requirements! Throughout July, August, and September, we kept meeting and supporting members’ Pathways goals with speeches and evaluations. No small feat during busy summer months! 👏

🏆 Our friendly competition winners:
🌟 Best Speech: Tracy Quint
🌟 Best Evaluation: Matt Lantzer
🌟 Best Table Topics: Our guest, Sonia! Asked what she would ask her future self, she answered, “Did I set the world ablaze?” Her heartfelt response gave the room goosebumps. 🔥❤️

For the second meeting in a row, a guest won Table Topics!

This is why we show up: to grow, find our voices, and hear something that stays with us.

📅 Join us at our next meeting: Monday, October 12, from 6–7:30 p.m.! Guests are welcome. Find meeting details at www.tm210.org

🎤 You Missed a Great Night at Toastmasters Club 210! Last night’s meeting was all about Daring Greatly — and our members did exactly that.

🎙️ Lisa took the stage with “The Things We Tell Ourselves,” a 4–6 minute prepared speech — that had us laughing and seeing ourselves in her story!

🎙️ Samuel delivered “Dominoes” (not Pizza!) and had us seeing empathy in real time and reminding us of our impactful presence in this life.

Then we handed over the floor for Table Topics, where Gideon, Samuel, Adahir, and Lisa took on the challenge of speaking off the cuff. Congratulations to our newest guest, Adahir, tonight’s Best Table Topics Speaker! Even guests can WIN at Best Table Topics.

And because Toastmasters isn’t just about speaking — it’s about learning how to give and receive meaningful feedback — congratulations to Dina and Carol with their evaluations of our speakers.

Best Speaker — Lisa
Best Evaluator — Dina
Best Table Topics — Adahir

Come join us. Our next meeting is September 28 - 6-7:30pm with Mathew. (inventor of the sport of Mall Yelling) stepping into the Toastmaster role.

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I were more comfortable speaking in front of people,” this is exactly what we practice — one speech, one evaluation, and sometimes one completely unexpected Table Topics question at a time. !

😂🐻🐬 Car doors, geysers, bears and dolphins… our latest Club 210 social reminded us that sometimes the best memories—and the best stories—come from the things we never planned!

That’s what we love about Toastmasters: great stories, lots of laughs, and the chance to get a little better at telling them. 🎤✨

Want to see what we’re all about? **Come as our guest!** 👋

🏆 **Another great night at Sioux Falls Toastmasters Club 210!**

If you’ve ever wondered what actually happens at a Toastmasters meeting, Monday night was a pretty great example.

🎤 **Best Speaker: Schroder Lantzer** — *“I’ll Walk Myself Home”* — a vulnerable, authentic story about relationships, honesty and growth.

💡 **Table Topics Winner: Subhash Mahata** — one of our newest members who absolutely blew us away with an impromptu talk about **data, validation and AI.** That’s the fun of Table Topics—you never quite know where the conversation will go!

👏 **Best Evaluator: Thomas** — evaluating *“Two Blue Lights,”* another example of how Toastmasters helps even experienced speakers keep sharpening their craft.

**Want to see what we’re all about? Come be our guest.**

📅 **Next Club Meeting:** Monday, September 14 | 6–7:30 PM

Or start with something even more casual:

🍽️ **Toastmasters Social Night**
Monday, September 7 | 6 PM
Frying Pan on 41st Street

Buy your own dinner, grab a seat at the table, meet some of our members and practice a little social communication in a fun, low-pressure environment.

You don’t have to already be a great speaker to come to Toastmasters.

**That’s kind of the point. 😉**

Come see the speakers and leaders being developed right here in Sioux Falls.
