Hunters from across the country are landing in Sioux Falls for South Dakota's pheasant season opener, and Call to Freedom will be at Sioux Falls Regional Airport on Oct. 15 and 16 to welcome them.

While you're here enjoying South Dakota's fields and small towns, please keep your eyes open. Human trafficking happens here too, often hidden in plain sight at hotels, truck stops, and other places travelers pass through. Knowing the signs can make a difference.

Stop by, say hi, grab information, and help us keep South Dakota safe for everyone.

Human trafficking is happening here in South Dakota. And ending it will take all of us.

We’re grateful to South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley for standing with Call to Freedom and recognizing the importance of prevention, law enforcement, and survivor services.

For 10 years, Call to Freedom has worked alongside partners across our state to help survivors move from trauma to transformation.

There is more work to do. And we’ll keep showing up.

Sometimes the next step forward is a counseling session.
Or a month’s rent.
A ride to work.
Groceries.
Job training.

Those practical needs can make a real difference for someone rebuilding a life after human trafficking.

Through Call to Freedom’s Support a Survivor program, monthly donors help provide resources survivors need as they work toward stability and independence.

$50 can help provide a counseling session.
$100 can help with education and job training.
$200 can help with housing.
$250 can support a survivor for an entire year.

Join the Call. Support a Survivor.

Call to Freedom was thrilled to attend the Quack Open a Book Reading Festival!

A big thank you to Sioux Empire United Way for hosting this wonderful event and bringing our community together to inspire a lifelong love of reading!

From discovering new books to enjoying fun, engaging activities, the festival was a fantastic opportunity for children and families to learn, connect, and make lasting memories.

At Call to Freedom, we believe in the power of community partnerships to create meaningful experiences and build brighter futures. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate and connect with families in our community!

Together, we can make a difference, inspire hope, and build a stronger community!

We were honored to welcome our friends from Eight Days of Hope this week as we begin planning the 2028 renovations for the Survivor Outreach Center!

Together, we’re building an important partnership focused on expanding prevention efforts and ensuring survivors receive the critical care and support they need during the essential first 72 hours of intervention.

Take a listen to our conversation to learn more about this meaningful partnership and the vision behind this important project!

Our fundraising campaign includes two powerful initiatives:

Hope Rising — Friends and Family Campaign | Goal: $2.2 million

Hope Into Action — Chamber Community Appeals | Goal: $1.35 million

Together, we can create a space that offers hope, healing, and life-changing support to survivors when they need it most.

You can be part of this mission! Every contribution helps make this vision a reality.

Last week, Call to Freedom traveled to McIntosh Schools to provide our Speak Up prevention training to more than 170 students and adults.

It was an impactful morning focused on one important mission: equipping our kids with the knowledge and tools they need before bad actors online have the opportunity to reach them.

Prevention starts with education, awareness, and empowering our communities to speak up.

Thank you, McIntosh Schools, for welcoming us and investing in the safety of your students and staff!

Pheasant season brings thousands of visitors to South Dakota.

It’s also an important time to stay aware of the signs of human trafficking.

Large events and tourism seasons can create conditions that increase vulnerability, including temporary workforces, remote locations, increased cash spending, and fewer resources in rural areas.

Awareness matters. Pay attention. Know the signs. And if something doesn’t seem right, don’t ignore it.

At Call to Freedom, prevention starts with helping more people spot the signs. Find more signs here: https://calltofreedom.org/signs-of-human-trafficking/
