Shee Atiká shareholders, join us in Anchorage for the AFN Southeast Reception!

AFN is almost here and we’re looking forward to gathering with community in Anchorage!

The Annual Alaska Federation of Natives Convention brings Alaska Native people together from across the state to celebrate our cultures, strengthen our collective voice, advocate for our shared priorities, and advance policies that support the future of our communities and Alaska.

During the convention, we invite you to join us at the Southeast AFN Reception on October 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Egan Center, located at 555 W 5th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of connection and conversation with shareholders, descendants, friends and family from across Southeast Alaska and beyond.

In partnership with Central Council of Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Goldbelt and Shee Atiká, we are honored to host this gathering and look forward to welcoming you in Anchorage.

At Shee Atiká, we wore orange shirts today, September 30, to honor and remember those children who were lost and those who survived residential boarding schools. Our Indigenous Programs Manager, Angie Ketah, provided a Lunch and Learn, which was available to all of our staff nationwide. She shared stories with the help of her Auntie Koty to help our team understand a part of our indigenous history. These stories help to show our resilience and promote healing and ensure that we never forget, because every child matters.
