Alaska Raptor Center Alaska's only full-service avian hospital and educational facility. The Center is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Established in 1980, the Alaska Raptor Center provides medical treatment to over 200 injured bald eagles and other birds each year. Our goal is to release our patients back into the wild; some, however, are injured so severely they could not survive in the wild even after rehabilitation. These birds may join our Raptors-in-Residence, providing excitement and education for more than 36,000 annual visitors and for the 15,000 schoolchildren we reach through the Adopt-A-Raptor program and classroom presentations around the country.

We recently moved one of our Bald Eagle patients, Kazoo, into the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation Bald Eagle Flight Training Center! This 20,000 cubic foot flight center is critical in giving our Bald Eagle patients the space they need to heal and stretch their wings while recovering.

We currently have 15 Bald Eagles in the flight center.
