East Prairie School once stood as a small schoolhouse with less than 100 children in attendance. As the community grew, the original schoolhouse was replaced with a new building in 1956, and subsequent additions were made as the school population increased.

Staff Spotlight- Mrs Byron! Mrs. Byron is always ready to lend a helping hand! Whether she’s assisting in classrooms throughout the building, supporting our PTA events, or helping with after-school clubs, she brings kindness, thoughtfulness, and a sweet smile wherever she goes. She goes above and beyond to support our students and staff, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our EPS family! Thank you, Mrs. Byron, for all the ways you make East Prairie a special place!

What a FUN day at East Prairie! Our Panthers celebrated their hard work and earned Pawsomes with an entire school incentive day packed with fun, laughter, and lots of excitement!
From pajama day and movie time to engaging activities and a food-fueled Slip ’N Slide featuring our very own principal and PTA president, there was something for everyone!
A HUGE thank-you to our PTA, staff, and everyone who helped make this day possible. Our Panther Dash fundraiser helps make these special experiences happen, and we’re so grateful for the support of our EPS families and community.

Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Hayes! Mrs. Hayes works closely with our students and staff to provide support and help ensure our students have what they need to be successful. She supports students and staff, assists with busing and school duties, and helps wherever she is needed throughout the school day.
