If only someone had invented some sort of device to make vehicles more visible in low-visibility conditions. Oh waitโ€ฆ HEADLIGHTS! ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ˜‚

Hereโ€™s your friendly reminder from STPSO: Donโ€™t rely on your automatic headlights in the fog! Many newer vehicles wonโ€™t turn them on because itโ€™s still light outside.

๐Ÿšด Come Out and Support the Gulf Coast Brotherhood Ride!
STPSOโ€™s own Lt. Ryan Suhre will be participating in this yearโ€™s Gulf Coast Brotherhood Ride, a 450-mile, five-day bicycle ride from Gulf Shores to Lafayette. Sgt. Suhre will be riding the Biloxi to Slidell leg.
The riders plan to stop at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriffโ€™s Office on Brownswitch today between noon and 1 p.m. to honor Sgt. Grant Candies.
We encourage residents to come out, welcome the riders and show their support as they honor one of our own.

The Pinkster has been making her rounds across St. Tammany Parish, and the support has been incredible!

Thank you to the businesses, community partners and everyone who has supported our mission to provide mammograms for the uninsured.

But the best part? The people weโ€™ve met along the way. The survivors, the fighters and the warriors. Weโ€™ve heard so many incredible stories of courage, strength and perseverance, and THAT is what this campaign is all about! ๐Ÿฉท

Yesterday, our fallen brother, ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐†๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐‚๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, was honored with the Medal of Honor๐ŸŽ–๏ธ during the 25th Annual Medal of Honor Ceremony at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge, hosted by the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement.

Sergeant Candies was tragically killed in the line of duty on March 23, 2025. It was a day that forever changed our agency and one we will NEVER forget.

His father, Mark Candies, who serves with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, along with his wife, proudly accepted this honor on his sonโ€™s behalf.

Also in attendance were Sergeant Walter Eason and Sergeant Earl Thomas, close friends and teammates of Sergeant Candies, who were there to honor their fallen brother.

While no award can ever fill the void left by his loss, this recognition serves as a reminder of Sergeant Candiesโ€™ courage, sacrifice and dedication to the community he proudly served.

Weโ€™re proud to support this incredible event each year, bringing our community together to raise breast cancer awareness and help provide mammograms for women who are uninsured. ๐Ÿ’—

Early detection saves lives, and weโ€™re always happy to be part of a cause that makes a difference!

And can we just take a moment to appreciate that sunset?! Apparently, even Mother Nature decided to show her support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month tonight! ๐Ÿ’•
