💙 SMITHFIELD… YOU SHOWED UP! 💙

National Night Out 2026 is officially in the books, and what a night it was!

We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the Luter Sports Complex and spent the evening with us. Seeing our community come together is exactly what National Night Out is all about — and once again, Smithfield did not disappoint!

Of course, an event like this doesn’t happen without some pretty amazing community partners. A special thank you to Blue Bell Ice Cream, Brown’s Enterprises, Dave’s Service Center, Eagle Wealth Advisors, Food Lion, Holiday Ice, Kroger, Royal Farms, Ryan’s Service Center, Sentara, Smithfield Foods, and the Town of Smithfield for helping make the evening possible. We truly appreciate your generosity and continued support!

We also want to thank all of the businesses, organizations, vendors, first responders, and volunteers who joined us. You brought the displays, information, food, giveaways, activities, and plenty of smiles.

And finally, THANK YOU, SMITHFIELD! Whether you stopped by to talk with our officers, checked out the vendors, grabbed something to eat, brought the kids, or just came out to enjoy the evening — we’re glad you were there.

We spent weeks telling everyone National Night Out was coming… and apparently you were listening! 😂

Thanks for another great night, Smithfield. We’ll see you at National Night Out 2027! 💙🚔

🎀 You may notice something a little different about our uniforms this October...

Our officers are wearing pink badges in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The pink badge is a visible symbol of our support for those currently fighting breast cancer, those who have survived it, and the families remembering loved ones they have lost.

In Isle of Wight County, approximately 37 women are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer each year, and 36% of cases are diagnosed after the cancer has spread beyond the breast.

These local statistics remind us that breast cancer affects our community, our families, our friends, and our neighbors.

Early detection matters. Talk with your healthcare provider about the breast cancer screening schedule that's right for you.
