We are looking to implement an interactive weekly Q&A called “Ask an ACO”.

Every Sunday we will post our Ask an ACO and you our followers can ask questions you may have pertaining to animal control, pet ownership, adoption procedures, services we provide, town ordinances, state laws, wildlife, what to do questions, etc.

We just ask not to ask about adoptable animals, all those answers can easily be found on the Tri Town Animal Shelter’s Petfinder page which is pinned to this page and the Tri Town Shelter page.

Let us know what you think, and look out for the “Ask an ACO” post this coming Sunday.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

A great team effort from SFD, SPD and SAC.

SPD and SFD were dispatched to a structure fire. It was the quick actions of SAC to notify responding personnel of a dog residing in the home.

SFD along with neighboring communities were able to knock the fire down quickly and searched the home for the potential dog. SFD located “Jax” alive but unresponsive. SFD’s quick and precise actions of cooling him off, getting him on oxygen via their K9 O2 mask and starting a line for fluids had Jax responding quickly.

SAC then transported Jax directly to VEG in Warwick where vets and staff couldn’t speak highly enough of the great job SFD did with Jax prior to arrival and SAC’s quick response time. Jax was up and improving in no time showing his appreciation to all the VEG staff.

Great team work by all involved! Jax appreciated it all!
