We are proud to invite Johnston County veterans, their families, and community members to join us for the 2026 Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11!

The ceremony will take place in the Smithfield-Selma High School gymnasium, followed by a Thanksgiving-style meal served in the cafeteria.

Jaidilyan's kindness and encouragement remind the Wildcats community that compassion means celebrating others’ strengths and taking action to make a difference. Her caring spirit reflects the importance of ensuring everyone feels welcomed at West Johnston High.

🎉 JCPS celebrated its first district-wide Staff Appreciation Day, honoring the dedicated employees who make a difference in the lives of our students every day!

Together, JCPS employees have contributed an incredible 28,785 years of service to our district! 💙Employees were recognized with years-of-service pins in five-year increments, celebrating their commitment to JCPS. One employee has proudly served the district for more than 50 years!

| Elim Cummings is an outstanding example of responsibility in the classroom and on the soccer field at McGee's Crossroads Middle.

As the team’s goalie, he demonstrates focus, dependability, and leadership while encouraging his teammates. In the classroom, Elim works hard, completes assignments, follows expectations, and takes pride in his academic success.

He can be trusted to make responsible choices, take ownership of his actions, and follow through on commitments. Elim’s ability to balance academics and athletics while representing McGee's Crossroads Middle positively makes him a deserving recipient of this recognition.

| Lucas Angeletti is a wonderful example of dependability. He is a dependable student, friend, and classroom leader who consistently follows through, completes his work, and gives his best.

When Lucas notices something needs to be done, he steps in to help without being asked. Lucas demonstrates self-discipline, kindness, and responsibility in all he does.

His positive attitude and willingness to support others make our classroom a better place. We are proud to recognize Lucas for his outstanding character and the example he sets each day at McGee's Crossroads Elementary.
