SMS Eagles proudly celebrated Unity Day by wearing orange and sharing messages of support against bullying. Students wrote encouraging words focused on kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, which were displayed on a butterfly in the courtyard.

Unity Day is a powerful reminder that we all play a role in creating a safe, welcoming environment where everyone belongs. Way to soar, Eagles!

Registration for SMS Key Club is open now.

Key Club continues to evolve as we look to partner with teachers at the school to support classroom cleaning and preparation, as well as connect with the City of Snoqualmie to help with community projects during our Wednesday meetings. We hope to continue our commitment to a single large-scale project: Empty Bowls, which will take place at SMS the evening of March 11.

Key Club will be limited to 30 participants, who will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis when registration opens on Thursday, October 15. A waitlist will be available after capacity is reached. Meetings will start on October 28 and take place every Wednesday after school through March 31. Key Club members should have a strong desire to work together and serve the community, as well as being organized and responsible with a strong work ethic.

🧡 Reminder, Eagles! Wear Orange Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, we recognize Unity Day, a day dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. By wearing orange, our Eagles can help send a visible message that everyone belongs and that bullying has no place in our school community.

We look forward to seeing our halls filled with orange as we stand together in support of kindness and bullying prevention!

Our SMS seventh-grade scientists in Ms. Gehrig’s science classes put their creativity, problem-solving skills, and engineering knowledge to the test as they designed and built machines to protect an egg during an egg drop challenge!

Students used teamwork, critical thinking, and a little bit of trial and error to bring their ideas to life. It was a great hands-on learning experience that combined science, engineering, and lots of fun!

Way to go, Eagles! We’re proud of our young scientists and their innovative thinking!

Our lost and found will be cleared out at the end of the week, and all items left behind on Friday, October 16, will be donated.

Our SMS seventh graders have been bringing history to life by building their own castles! As part of their social studies learning, students explored the features and purpose of medieval castles while putting their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to the test.

From towering walls to impressive defenses, these students worked hard to design and build their own unique creations! We love seeing our students engage with history in such a hands-on and creative way.

Way to go, SMS seventh graders!
