Good Evening Folks!

Rt 12 at the drawbridge is down to one lane as there is standing water on both shoulders in front of the Super Soda. Please allow a little extra time tonight in your commute as we anticipate tomorrow morning the roadway will still be covered in several inches of water. There are still several tide cycles that we will need to get through until the water dissipates. If you drive a smaller vehicle, we suggest alternate routes so that you may avoid damaging your vehicle. Those routes include Rt 113, Rt 13 and Route 50.

The camera link will be down tonight due to low battery power. We are hopeful that we get enough light in the morning to recharge the batteries.

Good afternoon, folks!

Today marks the beginning of the year for Worcester County Students. We hope all of our students have a safe and enjoyable year. As a reminder, please be on the lookout in the mornings and afternoons for children loading and unloading from their school bus. Please allow a little extra time in your commute for the next couple of weeks as both drivers and students get used to new pickup and drop-offs. We wish our School Administrators and Teachers and Staff a wonderful school year as well.

Good afternoon, Folks.

We have been notified by our local State Highway Administration that beginning Monday, August 10th, 2026, they will begin repaving Route 12 from Whiton Road to the Traffic Light on Market Street. This includes both sides of the drawbridge. As such, we will be placing cones along Washington Street from the drawbridge to the traffic light beginning Sunday, August 9th. Please plan accordingly next week and expect some delays as the milling project begins. This is a weather-dependent project. The project is expected to last all week and into the following week if needed.
