This weekend is going to be nice but the park will be muddy. The park will be open. Due to all the rain over the last month, there has not been a lot of track or trail grooming. Watch for wash outs and ride with caution.

Due to all of the heavy rain this week, and the rain forecasted for Saturday, the Lakeview open house has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule the event and will post up here the new date. Thanks for your understanding.

Please join us for Lakeview OHV Park Day, hosted by the Iowa OHV Association.

Event Details:

- Date: Saturday, September 19th, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Location: 3877 140th St NE, Solon, IA

Several local dealerships, including Metro Motorsports and McGrath Powersports, will display new models of UTVs, ATVs, and off-road motorcycles. Additionally, MADD will have a booth next to the IOHVA trailer to share their new OHV Safety program.

Be sure to sign up for door prizes at the Iowa OHV Association trailer and at the dealer booths. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served to the first 100 riders starting at noon.

Bring the whole family for a fun and educational day, and help us show appreciation to the Lakeview Off-Road Riders club for their hard work maintaining the park.

Hey, we don't have a pool and really didn't need your old pool cover and accessories. At least you had the decency to try to put it in a trash can and leave by the dumpster. For that we thank you. Dumping at the park is illegal. We have caught others and it's amusing watching them picking up their stuff after a visit from the DNR. We do have cameras and 24 hour monitoring. That is all.

Big shout out to local racer Tobin Miller(Wellman Iowa). Tobin is competing this week in Romania at the Red Bull Romania...

Big shout out to local racer Tobin Miller(Wellman Iowa). Tobin is competing this week in Romania at the Red Bull Romaniacs in the premier class(gold) against the world's most elite hard Enduro racers in one of the toughest courses in the world. Also the only U.S.A. rider to qualify. Best of luck Tobin, we are all cheering for you!!!!!

Edit: Tobin finished 16th, I believe. In 26 years of the race, only ten Americans have even finished in the gold class. Way to go Tobin.

Any one have a big old cultavator collecting dust behind the barn? Ours has reached the end of it's life cycle. We can probably buy a new one but they are light duty and will not hold up to the demanding condition's at the park. We are a 501C-3 non profit so we can provide a generous receipt for your donation. Due to ongoing safety concerns, effective immediately, any fast "A" riders doing laps on the main track up front will be required to have one of these flags mounted on your machine. Slower riders need you to be visible at all times. Horns or other signaling devices will not be permitted to pass. Slower riders are complaining about being intimidated. Especially the little guys on the PW50's. Thanks and enjoy your park.

LOAD EM UP!!!!. Rode the park today, conditions are about dang near perfect. Groomed tracks, trails in great condition. Nice and dry about everywhere. 70 and sunny tomorrow. Thanks and enjoy your park.

I would like to apologize to the individual who is blowing up my messenger and texting me late at night complaining that the sand track is not groomed.

I apologize that we had a blizzard five days ago.

I apologize that the frost is still coming up out of the ground.

I apoligize that conditions are still to wet to groom that track.

I apoligize that it's still March.

I apoligize that the front track did get groomed before the sand track because conditions up there allowed it.

I apoligize that hours were dedicated to clearing up the trails after the wind storm last week.

I apoligize that there are only so many hours in the day to get things done.

I apoligize that the sand track may not get groomed until next week.

There is still a little frost coming up here and there but the park is pretty rideable at the moment. Since it's only mid February there has been minimal maintenance or grooming so ride with caution. Don't forget to put on your 2026 DNR registration stickers. Thanks and enjoy your park.
