Another successful Backpack Program is in the books!

The PHP Youth Coalition has officially wrapped up another incredible Backpack Program, helping local students head back to school with the supplies they need to start the year with confidence and dignity.

This marks our second year of having a YOUTH-LED Backpack Program, and we couldn't be prouder of these remarkable young leaders. Their time, energy, and commitment to serving their peers and our community is inspiring, and they truly embody what it means to give back. đź‘Ź

A heartfelt thank you to our generous local businesses, community members, and the incredible Women's Legacy of Giving for making this program possible. Your support helped ensure that students across the Santa Ynez Valley begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and cared for.

Together, we're investing in the next generation—one backpack at a time.

Thank you brittanytaylorphoto for capturing the action! 🎒✨📚

Santa Ynez Valley People Helping People staff came together for a youth-led retreat, where our Youth Coalition leaders, Bella and Lupita, guided the day—sharing their work, initiatives, and the impact they’re making across our community.

It was a meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and experience our work through their leadership.

Thank you to Bella and Lupita for leading such a powerful day, and to for the beautiful setting and for making sure the PHP staff enjoyed all the Alisal had to offer!

April is Alcohol Awareness Month — a time to understand how alcohol affects your body, your brain, and your decisions.

For teens, alcohol can impact memory, mood, and judgment — and increase the risk of accidents and risky situations.

Knowing the facts helps you make choices that keep you safe and in control. Your future is worth protecting. đź’™
