A beautiful place. Thankful to have the support of Chris Girdler and SPEDA over the years. Excited to see what the future holds for them during this phase of transition!

ANNOUNCEMENT >> The SPEDA Community Foundation, SPEDA’s nonprofit arm, has received $15,000 from Norfolk Southern through its Thriving Communities Grant Program to support beautification efforts at Somerset Veterans Memorial Park.

“This grant will help us keep the park beautiful and welcoming for servicemen and women as they visit in reflection, for the families who come to find the name of a loved one no longer with us, or for anyone who just needs a place to sit and enjoy our beautiful downtown," SPEDA President and CEO Chris Girdler said.

Our future soldiers were honored by the Legends on Saturday! They took the Oath of Enlistment and then got to watch some baseball during the brief rain reprieve! This weekend was a great reminder that every service member who raises their right hand does so knowing that they have signed a blank check for their country.
