🍂 Fall break is underway this week. Notice any changes in your teen’s behavior?

A break from school can mean different sleep schedules and more time with friends. But sudden withdrawal, unusual mood changes, secrecy, or losing interest in favorite activities deserve a thoughtful conversation.

Changes don’t automatically mean substance use. Your teen may be dealing with stress, friendship problems, or something else they need help navigating.

💬 Start with curiosity: “You haven’t seemed like yourself lately. How are you doing?”

Listen without jumping to conclusions, stay involved in their plans, and make sure they know they can call you when they need help.

This fall break, make time to connect. A caring conversation can open the door to support. ❤️

Help your young person discover the value of giving back.

Volunteering teaches youth that they have an important role in their community. It builds responsibility, confidence, compassion and a sense of connection while showing them how even small acts of service can make a real difference.

Encourage your child or teen to find a cause they care about and get involved!

Little lungs deserve clean air. 💙

When children are riding with you, please wait to smoke or v**e until you are outside the vehicle and away from them. Even a short ride is a chance to protect their health and help them breathe easier.

A caring reminder from Drug Free Fayette.

Our second annual Drug Take Back Day will be on
🗓️October 24, 2026 from 10AM to 2PM.
There will be two locations for safe medication disposal:
📍Rossville Health Center, 4940 Hwy 57, Rossville, TN 38066
📍Fayette Baptist Church parking lot at 12465 Hwy 64, Somerville, TN 38068

We appreciate the partnership with the DEA and the Fayette County Sheriff's Office to help provide a safe way for unused, unwanted, and expired medications from homes in our community to be disposed. Over 50% of misused medication comes from friends' and family members' homes that may never know they are missing.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe!
