Our very own office manager, Mrs. Jami Ammons, was recognized at last night’s board meeting! 🐾💙 We are so proud of her and grateful to have her as part of our Creekside family! Read below to see the wonderful words shared about her! 👏

Jami Ammons, office manager at Creekside Elementary School, is an EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR. She is a true ray of sunshine to everyone with whom she works. She approaches every interaction with kindness, respect, and a positive attitude, and she is always willing to listen and help find a solution.

There is truly nothing she can’t do! Ms. Ammons either knows the answer to a question or will go above and beyond to find it. She consistently steps outside the traditional duties of her role to support our staff and families and is always looking for ways to help our school succeed. She works closely with our administrative team, contributes ideas, helps solve problems, and willingly jumps in wherever she is needed.

Her willingness to collaborate and her genuine care for others make her an invaluable part of the Creekside team.

🥧🐾 We reviewed our PAWS behavior expectations this week. Our students met their goal of earning 50 golden paws this week, which meant one thing… PIE THE PRINCIPAL!!! Students earned PAWS tickets for making positive choices, and one lucky student from each grade was drawn to pie Mrs. Howard in the face! Thank you, Mrs. Howard, for being such a good sport! 💙🥳

Our very own teacher, Miss Brea Willingham, wrote a book! We would love to celebrate her as an author! Check out her book and the New-Enterprise article highlighting her achievement.

Our Kindergarten families did an AMAZING job creating character pumpkins for our October Family Project! We loved seeing all the creativity, teamwork, and hard work that went into disguising each pumpkin as a favorite storybook character! 🧡🎃

Students have been working in Amplify on story elements and identifying characters in a story. This fun, hands-on project connected home and school while helping us build important early literacy skills!

Over the past two weeks, students in Mr. Gray's guidance class focused on mastering the power of positive self-talk. Kindergarten through third-grade students created custom superheroes centered around using positive self-talk as their primary superpower. Meanwhile, fourth and fifth graders put their skills to the test by playing a board game designed to build up themselves and others.
