Breitung Township - MN

10/22/2026

At this time, Breitung Township would like to ask everyone to please be mindful of the work going down at McKinley Park Campground. The contractors there have been authorized by the Breitung Town board to utilize the property for placing planned Neutrino Detectors in Lake Vermilion. The detectors are 25x10x10 feet in size, so the equipment down there is HEAVY!

While you are welcome to observe, please be mindful that construction zones are inherently dangerous. We don't want you or anyone else getting hurt. Please observe with a reasonable amount of safety and caution as you would in any other construction zone: away from the actual activity and with respect to heavy equipment.

If you have questions or concerns, you are encouraged to contact Breitung Town Board Supervisors:

Thank you!
