🎓 The COV Numbers Are In! Building Stronger Futures at Career Academy High School! 💙🧡
At Career Academy High School, we're committed to preparing students for more than graduation. We're preparing them for the Monday after graduation—when their next chapter begins!
One important way we do this is by helping students earn Credentials of Value (COVs), which demonstrate valuable career skills and help strengthen their resumes.
📈 Over the past three years, COV reimbursements across the CANOPS network have grown:
2024: Approximately $2,000
2025: Approximately $6,000
2026: Approximately $12,000
These reimbursements help cover certification testing costs, but the real value isn't the money. It's the growing opportunities for students to earn credentials that can support their futures.
🏆 In a comparison of nine Indiana school corporations using 2025–2026 reimbursement data, Career Academy High School and The Portage School of Leaders together achieved an estimated industry certification rate of 14.5%—the highest among the school corporations included in the comparison.
Every credential earned represents another opportunity for students to build confidence, demonstrate their skills, and take meaningful steps toward their future careers.
At Career Academy, our goal is simple: help students graduate with more than a diploma—with skills, credentials, and opportunities for what comes next.
