❤️🤍💙 SHOW OUR WESTOVER AIRMEN SOME LOVE! ❤️🤍💙

IYKYK, members of our Westover family have been under deployment orders since April. Now, some wonderful folks at Westover are putting together care packages for those serving overseas, and they’ve asked our community for a little help.

If you’re able to contribute, even one or two items can make a difference and remind our deployed service members that their community back home is thinking of them. ❤️🤍💙

Items specifically requested:
• Jerky
• Trail mix
• Tuna packets
• Ramen
• Oatmeal
• Electrolyte packets
• Gum
• Candy — please avoid chocolate that could melt in transit
• Cookies
• Healthy snacks, such as unsalted nuts
• Baby wipes

Westover has always been an important part of our community. This is one small way we can take care of those who serve and the Westover families who sacrifice alongside them.

Please consider picking up an extra item or two on your next shopping trip and dropping them off. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps, too!

🏓🇺🇸 Pickleball for Veterans at Look Memorial Park!

Veterans and their loved ones are invited to enjoy a fun, welcoming afternoon of adaptive pickleball with All Out Adventures in Florence. Whether you’re brand new to the game or looking to build your skills, the program is designed for participants of all abilities, with adaptive equipment and support available.

📅 Thursdays in October: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th
⏰ 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
📍 Look Memorial Park, Florence

There is no fee to participate, but online pre-registration is required by 12:00 PM the day before the program.

A great opportunity to stay active, try something new, and enjoy some camaraderie with fellow Veterans and loved ones. 🇺🇸

🚴‍♂️🇺🇸 Cycling for Veterans — All Abilities Welcome!

Looking for a great way to get outside, stay active, and connect with fellow Veterans? All Out Adventures is offering adaptive cycling sessions at Look Memorial Park in Florence throughout October.

A variety of cycles are available to accommodate riders of different abilities, including recumbent trikes, hand-pedaled cycles, tandems, and more. Equipment is provided, and Veterans and their loved ones can participate at no cost.

📅 Thursdays in October: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th
⏰ 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

Whether you’re an experienced rider or trying adaptive cycling for the first time, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, build confidence, and have some fun.

Unfortunately, Veterans are often targeted by scammers pretending to offer help with benefits, claiming you owe money, or promising to increase pension payments. Remember: the VA, Veterans Service Organizations, and accredited representatives do not charge you to apply for benefits, and initial claims are free.

Be cautious with unexpected calls, texts, emails, or postcards asking for payment, Social Security numbers, banking information, or VA login credentials. If something doesn’t feel right, verify it through an official source before taking action.

Please take a moment to review and share this flyer with a Veteran, family member, or caregiver who may benefit from it. A little awareness can go a long way in protecting our community. 🇺🇸
