🇺🇸 A Busy Memorial Day for Broughton Firefighters! 🇺🇸

​Today started with a solemn honor and ended with a lot of hard work. Our crew was proud to participate in the morning’s Memorial Day Parade, taking time to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

​But the day didn’t stop there. As soon as the parade wrapped up, the tones started dropping. It turned out to be an incredibly busy holiday for our volunteers, who responded to 7 different incidents throughout the day.

​Our crews handled a wide variety of emergencies, including: medical assists, traffic control, fire alarms, structure fire, and motor vehicle crashes

​We want to give a massive shoutout to our dedicated firefighters who stepped away from their own holiday plans and families to keep our community safe.

​As always, we are proud to serve. Stay safe out there, everyone!

**ROAD CLOSURE**

Brownsville Rd is closed between Shang and Sylvania due to a large tree down blocking all lanes. Please find an alternate route.

Thank You, to the millions of service members and families for the incalculable sacrifices you have made…and Thank You to those who helped in times of conflict, national and foreign crises, and natural disasters at home and abroad.

Thank you to the anonymous donor who generously donated a Kubota RTV X1120 to our department!

​This UTV will be designated as 270 UTV 2. Over the next few weeks, it will be upfitted and equipped to handle brush and wildland fires. This incredible addition will significantly assist our members during off-road incidents.

​It will be used in conjunction with our existing UTV, which is set up primarily for off-road patient transport, giving us a versatile pair of units to protect our community.

Happy National EMS Week! (May 17-23)

The Broughton Vol. Fire Department would like to wish a Happy EMS Week to all EMS providers, especially our local emergency medical service provider, Tri-Community South EMS for their dedicated services to the community of South Park Twp!

One week is hardly enough to recognize the contributions they make each and every day to serve others.

This year's 2026 EMS Week theme is "Improving Outcomes, Together".

A big congratulations to Donte's Pizzeria on celebrating 20 years in business!

​The crew from Engine 270 stopped by today after their detail to grab some food and celebrate the milestone with them. We are incredibly grateful to have such awesome local businesses supporting our community for two decades.

​Thank you for keeping the township fed, and here’s to many more years of great pizza and success!

Crews from 270 Engine and 271 Engine provided some water for the South Park 4th grade picnic today to cool down the students as they celebrated!
