Get a jump-start on your child's Summer Reading by checking out some of our June display items at South Park Township Library's Children's Room!

Children are invited to dig up some delicious treats at our "Digging Up Some Donuts" summer reading program on Saturday, June 27th at 2:30 pm!

Children will have the chance to whip up their own sweet creations at the Community Center!

On Monday, June 8th, we will be launching our new library website! This site was developed in partnership with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Cooperative Allegheny Libraries Support (CALS) department. The site and its features have been tailored to continue to meet the needs of libraries and serving library patrons.

Our website will be migrated on Monday morning (June 8th) beginning at approximately 8:30 am. As a result, the website will likely be down for most of the morning.

Please note that we do not anticipate the website migration to impact signing up to a program on our online Calendar of Events page at https://southpark.librarycalendar.com/ or accessing online services such as the Online Catalog at https://acl.bibliocommons.com/.

Learn the basics of creating a PowerPoint presentation at South Park Township Library's "Introduction to PowerPoint 2019" computer class, which will take place at the Library on Tuesday, June 9th from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

The max capacity for this class is 6 people.

Children are invited to our "Presentation Celebration" program on Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 pm.

This is a great program for children to meet some new friends and learn useful comprehension and presentation skills.

Space is limited! There is a limited number of spots on the wait list when the program is filled.

We can't wait to kick-off our Summer Reading programming with everyone next week! 🌞📚

We wrapped up our spring season with the whimsical film "The Cat Returns" at last week's "Anime All-Stars" program.

Teens were able to sculpt their own cat characters from air‑dry clay and turn them into keychains or pendants, then make matching “cat collar” bracelets to take home.

June is Pride Month.

A big thank you to South Park Township Library's Teen Advisory Board for selecting the titles that make up our "Read with Pride" book display, which can be found in the Teen Section during the month of June.

Teens (ages 13-18), step into a glowing world of hidden color at our "Unearth the Night: Teen Black Light Painting" program on Monday, June 15th at 6:00 pm!

Using UV-reactive paints and black lights, you’ll create a vibrant artwork that reveals its brightest story when the lights go down. Experiment with patterns, layers, and bold designs as you uncover the magic beneath the surface. Create a one‑of‑a‑kind glowing masterpiece that’s uniquely yours! All materials provided.

This is a drop-in program, so feel free to stop by the library at the time that is best for you to complete the activity.
