Approximately 1,000 homes in the north-side of the Borough are still without power. The Borough’s emergency services and Department of Public Works worked throughout much of the evening in identifying downed trees and powerlines and removed trees and debris blocking roadways.
Residents are urged to be very cautious when going outside today. As PSEG restores power, wires that become energized may still be damaged and possess a dangerous risk. Roads such as Plainfield Ave, Merchants Ave and Geary Drive are still all blocked. Take your time and be vigilant when outside today.
