Welcome to the official page of the South River Police Department. Information is shared about community events, safety tips, traffic problems, road closures, department news, missing pets, school closures and much more. This is a non-public forum solely utilized by the Police Department to provide the community with information. If you have an emergency or need to report a crime, please do not use our page. While we understand that social media is a 24/7 medium, our moderation capabilities are not. Our department’s social media platforms are monitored periodically. Please keep in mind that we strive to share information and alerts as soon as possible, but in the cases of breaking or unfolding incidents, our attention is often focused on handling the situation at hand. Oftentimes, in the case of any investigation (especially ongoing ones), we are not able to release certain details and information. Please understand that as soon as we are able to or permitted to, we will pass the information on to all of you. Opinions and views contained in posts do not necessarily reflect those of the South River Police Department.
