In the first quarter of our 2026-2027 fiscal year, Neighbors, Inc.’s Hunger Relief staff and volunteers have distributed over 294,218 pounds of food to 27,172 families and individuals.

This impact would not be possible without the continued support of our community partners, donors, both in-kind and financial, and the dedicated volunteers who show up each day. Thank you for helping us meet the immediate nutritional needs of so many of our neighbors. As the need for hunger relief programming continues to grow, our community continues to come together in times of need, showing what is possible when we are in service of one another.

For those looking to make a direct impact on hunger relief, Neighbors, Inc. has a restricted Food Specific Fund, with 100% of donations designated to this fund going toward the purchase of food. If you would like to support this fund specifically or have questions about how it works, please reach out to Jacob, our Annual Fund and Communications Coordinator, at [email protected].

In July 2026, Neighbors, Inc. partnered with a local hobby farm to give unclaimed produce a second purpose and to also help keep it out of landfills.

Through this partnership, produce that is no longer fit for human consumption is redirected to the farm to help feed its pigs rather than being thrown away. What might otherwise become waste can instead serve a useful purpose, creating a small but meaningful win for our community and the environment.

This partnership is another example of how collaboration and creative thinking can help us reduce waste while extending the value of the food entrusted to our organization’s Hunger Relief programs and services!
