CAST North Fork The Center for Advocacy, Support & Transformation (CAST) helps low income residents meet their nutritional, energy, and educational needs.

Community Action Southold Town (CAST) is a 501(c)3, Not-For-Profit organization created in 1965 to help low-income residents meet their basic needs in the areas of nutrition, employment, energy, and education. CAST exists as a safety net for Southold Town families from Laurel to Orient Point and Fisher’s Island. “It is the mission of CAST to promote self-sufficiency and provide a safety net for Southold Town residents in need.” The majority of CAST’s funding comes from the generosity of the community and a variety of fundraising activities, including applications for grants from private and public organizations.

💙 Thank you to everyone who attended CAST and Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital’s Annual Health Fair last week and to all of our amazing providers who helped make it a success!

From flu shots and shingles vaccines to CPR demonstrations, health screenings, and wellness resources, our community came together for a day focused on health, education, and prevention. We’re grateful to all the providers who shared their time and expertise, and to Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital and Southold Town for partnering with us to host this annual event and help make vital health resources more accessible to our community! 🩺

Today is Hunger Action Day, a part of September-Hunger Action Month, a time to raise awareness about food insecurity and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food.

At CAST, the fight against hunger continues year-round. Through our food pantry, mobile pantry, Feed-A-Kid program, and other community initiatives, we work every day to help ensure our neighbors have access to the food and resources they need.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors, farm partners, community partners, and supporters who help make this work possible. Together, we’re nourishing our community and helping ensure that no one has to face hunger alone. 💚

Want to help? Join us this Saturday, October 3, from 9 AM–1 PM for CAST’s Food Drive at Southold IGA and Cutchogue King Kullen. Your donations will help stock our shelves and provide essential food to local families.
