This month is National Military Appreciation Month, and we proudly extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every service member currently serving. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our nation do not go unnoticed.

Because of you, we enjoy the freedoms we hold dear every day. Thank you for your courage, your strength, and your unwavering service.

I want to also recognize an amazing event from this past week. With the guidance of Post 57 and District 3, Legionnaires were able to attend the enlistment signing of 6 young men and women. A moment where courage, commitment and letting them know that we are there for them and believe in them!

Today we recognize Military Brats Day and celebrate the sons and daughters of our Service Members.

Military children grow up in a world shaped by duty stations, deployments, and new beginnings. They learn resilience at a young age. They form friendships quickly, adapt to change, and carry pride in their family’s service. While they may not wear the uniform, they serve in their own way every single day.

For many Veterans and Service Members, their children are a constant source of strength and motivation. Behind every move and every mission is a family making sacrifices together.

The American Legion, Department of Florida honors military children across our state and thanks them for their courage, flexibility, and spirit.
