We had such a wonderful time visiting Purple Door Preschool! Thank you for inviting us to be part of your Community Helpers series. It was a joy to connect with little learners, share about our program, and inspire curiosity about the world around them. 💜 (Photo taken with approval)

Child Care Aware Leadership Institute Recap! ✏️
ITCN CCDF joined CCR&R leaders from across the nation to explore the future of child care through collaboration, innovation & leadership. Sessions highlighted the true cost of child care, workforce stabilization and the critical role of child care as an economic issue. 📚 STORYTELLERS OF OUR NATIONS: October Reads are here!
This month, Storytellers of Our Nations honors Indigenous Peoples’ Day with stories that celebrate language, culture, and community.
🪶Picture Book: Stolen Words by Melanie Florence: A moving story of a granddaughter helping her grandfather reclaim his Cree language, reminding us of the power of words and healing across generations.
🌿Chapter Book: Children of the Longhouse by Joseph Bruchac: A rich story set in a Mohawk village during the 1400s, where twins Ohkwa’ri and Otsi:stia learn about responsibility, courage, and the values of their people.
These books inspire us to celebrate our languages, honor our ancestors, and carry forward the stories that make us strong.

This week, our team was honored to join community leaders, educators, and mental health advocates in exploring strategies to support youth mental wellness at the 2025 Washoe County Youth Mental Health Summit. From teen panels to insightful sessions on su***de prevention and fostering belonging, the summit was a powerful reminder of the importance of community collaboration.
Grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to a brighter future for our youth. ✏️
