🚁 Inspiring the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals!

Regional One Flight Paramedic Dylan Morgan recently had the opportunity to visit Mabry Middle School in Inman, SC, to speak with students during their career exploration sessions!

Dylan shared what life is like as a flight paramedic, discussed his journey into air medical transport, and explained the important role helicopters play in providing critical care to patients. Students also got an up-close look at some of the medical equipment and lifesaving skills our crews use every day.

It was a great experience getting to interact with the students, answer their questions, and share a little about the exciting world of air medical transport!

Thank you to Mabry Middle School for inviting Regional One to be part of this experience! 🚁🚑

🚁💚 Happy Emergency Nurses Week! 💚🚁

From all of us at Regional One Air Medical, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible emergency nurses who serve our communities every day!

You are often the first to bring calm to the chaos, provide comfort in uncertainty, and advocate for patients during some of their most critical moments.

As flight crews, we have the privilege of working alongside so many outstanding emergency nurses throughout the Upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina. We see firsthand the dedication, compassion, and expertise you bring to every patient encounter.

Whether we’re bringing a patient to your emergency department or transferring one into our care, we are grateful for the teamwork, trust, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Thank you for everything you do, for the lives you touch, and for being such an essential part of the healthcare team!

🚁 From your Regional One Air Medical Flight Crews, we appreciate you!

A beautiful afternoon in Charleston! 🚁☀️

Regional One and Meducare 3 - Lancaster, South Carolina happened to find ourselves in Charleston at the same time today! It’s always great when our paths cross with another one of our fellow Med-Trans bases and we get a chance to catch up. We couldn’t have asked for better weather while spending a little time together on the helipad at MUSC Charleston.

Always great seeing our Meducare 3 crew. Safe flights! 🚁

Our flight nurses and flight paramedics recently completed another round of quarterly simulation training in Greenville using high-fidelity patient mannequins. These realistic scenarios help our crews sharpen critical skills, strengthen teamwork, and prepare for the rare but high-acuity emergencies they may encounter. Continuous training is one of the many ways we stay ready to provide the highest level of care when every second counts.

In Remembrance | July 13, 2004

Today, we pause to remember a tragic day that will forever remain part of Regional One’s history.

Twenty-two years ago, Pilot Robert “Bob” Giard, Flight Nurse Glenda Tessnear, Flight Paramedic David “J.R.” Bacon Jr., and the patient entrusted to their care lost their lives in a helicopter accident shortly after departing a scene on Interstate 26 near Newberry, South Carolina.

They were answering the call and caring for someone in need. Their service, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten, and their legacy continues to live on through Regional One and the air medical community.

Today and always, we remember all four lives lost.
