📬 Change a student's life with just a few letters!
Our RSVP Pen Pal program kicks off this January, and we need volunteers ages 55+ in Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, and Palo Alto counties to write to local 3rd and 4th graders.
The Commitment is Simple:
📝 2 or 3 letters over 3 months (January–May)
🎉 A 1-hour Meet & Greet at the very end
It’s a small amount of time that makes a massive impact on a student's writing skills and confidence.

Some of our friendly SHIIP faces - thank you for all that you do to help our area seniors navigate the Medicare maze!

When you come in for a SHIIP appointment, you’re not talking to a call center. You’re sitting down with a trained volunteer from right here in our community. You're sitting down with one of these SHIIP Counselors.
Our SHIIP counselors help you:

• Check your current Part D or Medicare Advantage plan for the lowest cost
• Compare employer drug coverage to other Medicare options
• See if you qualify for Extra Help paying for prescriptions
• Understand your choices if you’re not in a drug plan yet

Appointments take about an hour and are held at Lakes Regional Healthcare. When you arrive, come in through Door A, which is the main entrance on the west side of the hospital, off Highway 71.

Ready to schedule? Call 712-336-6698 and leave a message. A scheduler will call you back.
