We’re looking forward to being part of the Novara Energy Summit on October 7 and learning alongside an incredible group of energy, utility, and community leaders as we explore how to build systems that are not only more affordable, but more resilient.

What does “affordable” really mean when the cost of doing nothing keeps rising?

The University District will be facilitating a World Café conversation on energy affordability, exploring what happens when we widen the lens beyond utility bills and upfront infrastructure costs. What is the cost of wildfire risk, outages, extreme heat, aging infrastructure, rising insurance costs, or impacts to health and local economies? And what value might we create when investments in energy, built infrastructure, and living infrastructure are considered together? We’re excited to be part of the conversation and hope to see many of our community partners there.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Housing for the Public Good: Building a Resilient Spokane!

We were grateful to sponsor this important conversation and come together with community partners and neighbors to learn, share ideas, and explore new approaches to building a more affordable, resilient, and connected Spokane.

A special thank you to Spokane Alliance, Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium, our fellow sponsors, and Colin Delargy for sharing lessons from Atlanta and helping spark a thoughtful conversation about what could be possible here in Spokane.

We appreciate everyone who showed up, asked questions, and contributed to the conversation. It’s exciting to see so many people invested in the future of our community.

And apparently, we mean EVERY angle. 😉

THANK YOU, DEAN!
