The On Track Academy is a choice high school in Spokane Public Schools; designed for students who want relevance, rigor, and a real-world education, have demonstrated academic competency, and may or may not be behind in credits. Learning in an authentic and personalized culture with teachers who care about each individual, On Track Academy students show what they know and can do while creating "What's Next" for their future. OTA prepares students to successfully complete some form of higher education: technical, 2-year or 4-year. Working collaboratively with fellow students and staff, students find hope, courage and confidence at the On Track Academy.

LEVY AT WORK: “A lot of people think it's just Band-Aids and ice packs, and it's so much more than that.”

Yes, school nurses like Aidan McCrum address the day-to-day bumps and bruises associated with active, young students, but a significant part of their job is also managing health care plans for students with chronic or life-threatening health conditions, so they can attend school in a safe and healthy environment.

Positions for school nurses are supported in part by the local Educational Programs and Operations levy, which helps to fund academic programs, services, and student activities and athletics that are not funded by the state. The local levy makes up about 15% of Spokane Public Schools' annual operating budget. A replacement levy will be presented to voters on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot.

This week at OTA we thanked our amazing custodian, Faron! We carried boxes larger than our bodies. We made a kaleidoscope. We went to the farm, mingled with the mayor, made art, argued about candy corn, and enjoyed some extra days in the sun!

Speaking of, have an AMAZING weekend with all the warm weather!
