Bob Shatz' is classified as a Hard Democrat in the WAGOP voter database and resides in precinct 3220 which is in south central part of Spokane, south of 29th, north of 37th, and bisected by Freya. Why is his location relevant? It seems Shatz and his political leanings is having an impact on some Republicans in that area because those same Republicans are telling me we need to be more like Bob Shatz if we are to win elections in Spokane's 3rd Legislative District. Do you agree? Oh and of course, the fair and balanced The Spokesman-Review appears to have rushed this letter to the front of the line when typically letters can take over a week to appear on the Opinion page.
Shatz cites Oregon as the model, has anybody visited Portland lately? I also like how the Democrats routinely associate the K*K with Republicans when it's Democrats who founded the K*K.
The newly released 2026 Spokane County GOP Platform and Resolutions are available at SpokaneGOP.com. The Platform lays out our Core Values - Faith, Family, Freedom, Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness and the 21 Principles that derive from the Core Values. The Platform passed by a 95% supermajority vote.
The 20 Resolutions that support the values and principles in the Platform and add specific amplifying information and direction include the Party's commitment to the Sanctity, Dignity and Protection of Human Life, Policies that have a Strong Family First Focus, Elimination of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, Strengthening our Elections, and Affirming American Exceptionalism, Patriotism, and Civic Education.
If these Values, Principles, and Resolution topics scare you, reply and let us know how and why? If you agree with and support our focus on the Platform and Resolution items and the expectation that our members and endorsed candidates align with the Platform and Resolutions, we would like to hear from you on that as well.
