🚨COOK POLITICAL REPORT JUST MOVED VA-01 TO TOSS UP!
Yes, THAT Cook Political Report. One of the most respected political forecasters in the country has just moved Virginia’s First Congressional District from Lean Republican to TOSS UP.
And they’re not the first. Our very own Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball has already moved the race to Toss Up, and last week’s Washington Post–Schar School poll had Shannon Taylor leading Rob Wittman 50% to 46%.
Twittman has been sitting in that congressional seat for nearly TWENTY YEARS. This is an extraordinary shift, and it didn’t happen by magic. People have been knocking doors, making calls, writing postcards, registering voters, putting up signs and doing the hard, unglamorous work of organizing across this district.
But here’s the thing. A TOSS UP is not a WIN.
We have 25 days to get Shannon Taylor over the line and we need EVERYONE. All hands on deck. Every door knocked, every voter contacted, every volunteer shift filled. Especially here in Henrico, where we have a massive part to play in what happens in CD01.
