This year’s national theme is "Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower."

Modern lithium-ion batteries power our phones, laptops, and tablets daily, but improper charging causes rapid home fires.

Protect your home with these quick rules:
✅ Use the cord and charger that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer.
✅ Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or bare floor.
✅ Unplug your device when it is fully charged.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆. 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒃𝒆.

Our crews recently trained together on multi-company drafting operations, a specialized skill used to establish a water supply when a fire hydrant isn’t available.

Using fire apparatus, crews can draw water from a static water source, such as a pond or other suitable water supply, and move that water into the firefighting operation. This capability can be especially important in the more rural areas of our district where hydrants may not be readily available.

Due to the ongoing drought conditions, crews recycled the water back into the drop tank through the deck gun rather than drawing additional water from the source. This allowed the crews to complete the training while conserving water. As a result, the water pressure during the exercise was lower than it would be during an actual drafting operation with a continuous water supply.

Training together on scenarios like this helps our firefighters build proficiency, strengthen coordination between companies, and remain prepared for the different challenges they may encounter across the community we serve.

The memories, the gratitude, and the meaning of 9/11 remain with us long after the day itself has passed.

We’re especially grateful to H-E-B and our neighbors in River Crossing for remembering Bulverde Spring Branch Fire & EMS and our crews. Also, thank you to everyone who took a moment to keep us, and first responders everywhere, in your thoughts.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families whose lives were changed forever.

Thank you to everyone who remembered, reached out, and kept us in your thoughts. Your support means more than you know. ❤️🤍💙

Fire Extinguisher Training Opportunity! Saturday, October 10th. Two sessions; one at 10:00 a.m. and the second at 1:00 p.m.

Brief instructional session, followed by hands-on training. Participants will utilize an advanced fire simulator tool to practice how to handle a fire extinguisher in a safe and realistic setting.

What was once an empty site is steadily becoming a new home for Fire & EMS services. Each stage of construction brings us closer to a station designed to serve our community today and into the future.
