Main Street construction update

09/23/2026

PECO is continuing its infrastructure improvement project in Spring City Borough. They will be replacing a gas main in the area of Yost Avenue and N Main Street beginning September 28 for approximately 3 days. Work will occur between 9am-3pm, causing intermittent closure of N Main Street between E. Bridge Street and New Street. Flaggers will provide traffic control. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to follow detour signs. Paving restoration is anticipated for early November.

This is a PECO utility project, not a Borough project.

Planning is coming together beautifully for our annual Music and Market Fest coming up on October 3.

We'll have local b**r by Punch Buggy Brewing Company, multiple food trucks and free family activities, including a bounce house, face painting and Splitting Edge - Mobile Axe Throwing!

Of course, our Legacy B**r Stein Holding Contest of Strength is not to be missed.

Our own The Gem Music Hall, Spring City will be providing two stages of live music, highlighting beloved local bands all day.

We still have a few spots open for vendors, so if you are a local maker and this event sounds like a good fit for your offering, please apply. We are especially seeking artisan makers, food trucks and we encourage folks to create an activity at your booth. Reach out with your ideas!
