This morning SLHFD responded to a report of a garage fire in fairway mews. Upon arrival. Police and fire officers confirmed a working fire in the attached garage of one of the units.

First arriving units deployed multiple hoselines to attack the fire directly in the garage and through the house. Fire was knocked down within minutes of arrival and the bulk of the damage was contained to the garage.

Please thank your participating local residents for getting out there today after spending countless hours volunteering to train and maintain equipment, to be able to stabilize what could have been a disaster for the homeowner and neighbors.
