🎀 WE ANSWER THE CALL. WE STAND FOR THE FIGHT. 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the members of the Spring Lake Fire Department proudly stand beside every survivor, every fighter, every family, and every person who has been affected by breast cancer.

As firefighters, we run toward the call when others are running away. We train for the unexpected. We fight through the hardest conditions. And when someone needs help, we don’t leave them behind.

This month, we wear pink not simply as a color, but as a symbol of strength, courage, hope, and remembrance.

To those currently fighting: Keep fighting. Keep pushing. You are not alone.

To the survivors: Your strength inspires us.

To the families and caregivers: Your support matters.

To those we’ve lost: You will never be forgotten.

And to our community: Know your risk. Know the signs. Get screened. Encourage someone you love to do the same. Early detection can save lives.

🚒 From the firehouse to the community, Spring Lake Fire Department stands together in the fight against breast cancer.

🎀 WEAR PINK. RAISE AWARENESS. SUPPORT THE FIGHT.

Honor • Integrity • Pride

🚒 22-B | Truck Company Operations Training

Today, 22-B conducted Truck Company Operations training focused on the skills and techniques needed to operate effectively on the fireground.

Training covered:
🔹 Ventilation operations
🔹 Ladder throws and placement
🔹 Efficiently moving multiple tools from the apparatus to the fire ground if limited man power
🔹 One technique covered was utilizing a 16-foot roof ladder as a “sled” to move multiple pieces of equipment at once

Training like this builds efficiency, teamwork, and confidence while ensuring our crews are prepared to perform when it matters most.

Train hard. Work together. Be ready. 🚒🔥

🚒 A Day at the Fire Station! 🔥

Spring Lake Fire Department was excited to host students from Spring Lake Middle School at the fire station!

During their visit, students had the opportunity to learn about important fire safety tips, tour our apparatus, and get an up-close look at the PPE firefighters wear while responding to emergencies.

And of course, no fire station visit would be complete without getting to put some water on the fire! 💦 Students even had the opportunity to spray water from Engine 22 and experience a small part of what our firefighters do.

We appreciate Spring Lake Middle School for spending the day with us and helping us promote fire safety, education, and community connections. 🚒❤️

Stay safe, Spring Lake!

🚒 With October right around the corner here are some fire safety tips.

October is a great time to take a few minutes to make sure your home, family, and workplace are prepared for a fire emergency.

🔥 This October, make fire safety a priority:

* 🚨 Test your smoke alarms monthly and replace batteries as needed.
* 🏠 Make sure every level of your home has working smoke alarms.
* 🧯 Keep fire extinguishers accessible and know how to use them.
* 🚪 Create and practice a home fire escape plan with your family.
* 🔥 Keep anything that can burn away from heat sources.
* 🍳 Never leave cooking unattended.
* 🔌 Inspect electrical cords and avoid overloading outlets.
* 📞 Make sure everyone knows to CALL 911 in an emergency.

Fire can happen when you least expect it. Take the time today to prepare—because seconds matter when lives are at risk.
