🚧 ALLEY CLOSURE – MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

Please be advised that the alley shown highlighted on the map will be temporarily closed for repairs on Monday, September 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Residents who use this alley should plan ahead and use an alternate route during the closure. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely complete the needed repairs.

⚠️ Please Respect Our City Parks ⚠️

The City has recently become aware of damage occurring in some of our park areas from scooters being driven on the grass, particularly while the ground is wet.

As you can see in the photos, repeated riding, spinning, and turning on the saturated ground has left deep tracks and damaged the turf. These areas belong to everyone in our community, and repairing damage like this takes additional City time and resources.

We understand that scooters and similar recreational vehicles are fun to ride, but our parks and grassy areas are not the place for this type of activity. Please stay off the grass with scooters and other motorized vehicles and help us protect our parks.

Parents, we also ask that you please talk with your children about respecting City property and the work that goes into maintaining these spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Please help us keep our parks safe, clean, and in good condition for the entire community.

🚨 Community Safety Reminder 🚨

The City has received multiple reports of children riding electric scooters in an unsafe manner throughout town.

We would like to remind all riders and parents of the importance of following basic safety practices, including:

🛴 Wearing a properly fitted helmet and other appropriate safety gear.
🛑 Coming to a complete stop at intersections and obeying all traffic signs.
👀 Staying alert and watching for vehicles, pedestrians, and other hazards.
🚸 Riding responsibly and courteously in public areas.

Electric scooters can be a fun and convenient way to get around, but safety must always come first. We encourage parents and guardians to review safe riding practices with their children to help prevent accidents and injuries.
